JULY 15th PASSHOLDER DECISION DEADLINE
You have until Wednesday, July 15th, 2020 to communicate your decision regarding the summer 2020 season. If we do not hear from you prior to July 15th, or have not received your completed roll over or termination form request, we will assume that you will be returning for the summer 2020 season and will invoice you for the remainder due. All forms can be found under the “COVID-19 Updates” tab.
Below outlines the three options available:
• Option 1 – Return for 2020 Season: Visit the club office, pay the final invoice, sign the COVID-19 addendum to the rules and regulations, and then you are free to enjoy your summer.
• Option 2 – Skip 2020, Roll Over to 2021: Complete the roll over form and email, fax or hand deliver it to the club office. As a reminder for this option you must roll over a minimum of $2,500 for a cabana and $750 for all other accommodations. Additionally, you will lose your passholder status for the summer 2020 season.
• Option 3 – Passholder Termination and Full Refund: If you have decided that do not want to return to the club, we are sad to see you go, but respect that decision. Please complete the termination form and email, fax or hand deliver it to the club office. We will then give you a full refund and you will lose your passholder status.

Q. What are the hours of operation for the 2020 Season?
A. The clubs will be open 10am-9pm daily, weather permitting. The beaches will close at 7pm for swimming. Unlike previous seasons, the club will need to be temporarily closed during inclement weather since we cannot maintain social distancing when gathered in common areas and we cannot congregate in the cabanas. Hours of operation may be further adjusted as required to comply with COVID guidance.
Q. How will you manage the pool and surrounding areas in light of COVID-19 restrictions?
A. The pool will be open daily from 10am-8pm. Access to the pool will rotate every hour based on last name (see schedule below). Additionally, every 45 minutes the pool will be closed for 15 minutes to be cleaned and sanitized. You can find the pool schedule here.
Q. Will we be able to use chairs on the pool deck?
A. Yes. You may bring your own chairs to the pool, but you must return them to your cabana at the end of the day. For safety purposes you may not use the club provided lounges on the pool deck at this time.
Q. Can we use the Club showers?
A. Yes. You can use the outdoor showers at the club, but you must maintain social distancing when doing so. Use of the indoor communal showers is not permitted at this time.
Q. Is outdoor dining available at the Beach Clubs?
A. Limited food and beverage options will continue to be available. We are evaluating whether we will expand food and beverage offerings.
Q. Are day passes available?
A. If you are undecided about your membership for the summer 2020 season, you are welcome to visit for $40/day per person to help in your decision that is due on July 15th.
If you have chosen to ‘skip’ the 2020 Season and roll over for 2021, you can still use a day pass to visit the club, but you will not have access to your accommodation.
The general public can also use day passes. We will limit general admission and guest passes to 100 people per club, per day (based on availability). A reservation must be made with the club for day passes and guest passes. Adult day passes are $40/day per adult and junior day passes are $30/day per child.
Q. Will guests be allowed at the Clubs?
A. Yes, however reservations must be made with the Club office in order to bring guests. We may allow up to 100 guests per club per day and reservations will be made on a first come, first served basis.
Q. What Health & Safety precautions are being taken?
A. In addition to regular cleaning of the beach, bathrooms and cafeteria – the clubs have purchased CDC approved sanitizers, which will be used in those areas. Our staff will be wearing masks while on the property, and we respectfully request all guests visiting the club use their masks in all interior spaces and when accessing the beach. We have 6′ markers set up in the cafe to help you gauge social distancing guidelines. Additionally, we will be sanitizing the bathrooms every 45 minutes.
Q. Are we allowed to smoke or drink alcohol on the beach?
A. The National Park Service does not allow alcohol or smoking on federal beaches, similar to city guidelines. During this time, group gatherings are prohibited, and social distancing policies are in effect per current NYC guidance, which may change over time. Glass containers are also forbidden. Marijuana is always forbidden on National Park Service land.
Q. Do I need to wear a mask when coming from the beach to use the restrooms?
A. Yes, while you do not need to wear your face mask on the beach once you are seated at an appropriately social distanced location, it MUST be worn all other times. This includes when you are walking on the beach and at the clubs. You are also required to wear a mask on the beach if you are seated and approached by people not in your immediate group or if you cannot maintain appropriate social distancing.
Q. When will we be approved to play sports again at the club?
A. We just received approval from the NPS for the use of the playgrounds, as well as use of the paddle tennis, tennis, bocce ball, pickle ball, basketball (non-pickup games), and volleyball starting July 10th. As in the past, all courts are on a first come, first served basis.
Q. When will we be able to use our grills?
A. We have submitted a plan to the NPS for usage of the grills. We have yet to receive approval but will notify you as soon as we know more.
Q. Can we use chairs on the pool deck?
